Was the weapon used to kill Abraham Lincoln ever found?

Yes, the single-shot .44 caliber derringer, which John Wilkes Booth used to shoot President Lincoln, was found on the floor of the State Box room (the private room, reserved for the President, where the President was sitting, when he was shot.). It is now on display at the museum in Ford's Theater.

Were the guards with him when Abraham Lincoln was killed?

Yes, and no. John Parker relieved William Crook, President Lincoln's usual Bodyguard, just prior to leaving for the Theatre. Parker, was the President's only Bodyguard the night of the play, and was supposed to be standing watch directly outside the door to the State Box room, where the President, the First Lady and 2 guests were watching the play. Instead, Parker left his post in the middle of the play, with the door to the State Box room unlocked. Parker was downstairs in the saloon, having a drink.
