Despite the series date, 1950 $5s are not particularly valuable. Most are only worth face value in circulated condition. If they show very little wear, they might retail for 7 or 8 bucks. The only exception is a bill without a small series letter next to the date; these retail in the $7 to $12 range.

Why doesn't the bill have In God We Trust?That motto wasn't added to paper money until the late 1950s and early 1960s, mainly due to Cold War fears of "godless Communism"
