Value depends on if it's a Walking Liberty half dollar or a Monroe Doctrine Centennial half dollar, both are dated 1923 and both have "S" mintmarks. Post new question.
The 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial half dollar is a copper-nickel clad coin. Current retail value is $4.00.
Check that coin again. Eisenhower was on the DOLLAR, and Kennedy is on the HALF. Either way, bicentennial coins are extremely common and only worth face value.
I suspect you've made an error in the question.A 1976 Eisenhower dollar is worth approximately $1.00.A 1976 Kennedy half-dollar is worth approximately $0.50.
1976 was the 200th anniversary of the US, so that year is the BIcentennial. The centennial was in 1876.Please see the Related Question for more information.

Please post a new question with more details, including the coin's date and the country that issued it. "Centennial half dollar" could refer to any number of US commemorative coins, several Canadian coins, or could even be a misinterpretation of bicentennial.
The 1986 Statue of Liberty half dollar was minted to commemorate the centennial of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. These coins were issued to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the Statue of Liberty. As of now, the value of this coin can vary depending on its condition and demand from collectors.
Please check your coin again and post a new, separate question. It's either not JFK, not a dollar, or not a centennial commemorative:JFK has never been on a $1 coinHe was born in 1917 so his centennial won't be until 2017You may have a Bicentennial HALF dollar (1776-1976) issued for the 200th anniversary of the US, not to honor JFK.
