Yes, and no. America has the world's strongest economy, however overspending, and disreguard for the government's spending has put us into debt. Our unemployment rate is at %10, which is rather good compared to most of the world. The main issue is education, or lack there of. In attempt to help fund, and mask poor spending education budgets are kept very low. Basically we are not poor "yet". We will be though if education is not fixed.
