Look at the coin again. The first US one cent coin was struck in 1793.
Please look at the coin again, 1857 was the last year the US made a large cent.
If the coin is a Lincoln cent dated 1964 it may look like gold or have been gold plated but the US Mint has never made a gold one cent coin.
'bout a nickel at most. All "wheatback" cents look like that, and it's not surprising that it would have a "logo" - actually called the denomination, 1¢ - that says ONE CENT on the back, just like a nickel says FIVE CENTS and a dollar says $1.

About the width of a US penny (one cent coin)
Such a coin does not exist. The Australian 1 cent coin was first issued in 1966. The Australian One Penny coin was issued from 1911 to 1964 inclusive.

The current US penny coin features the Union Shield Crest on the back side of the coin. A banner with the words one cent goes over the shield.
The apothem is the perpendicular from the cent of a regular polygon to one of it's sides. When drawn it looks like the line drawn for the radius or circumference of a circle.
