However, on the front side only the Native chief's head is shown. That's why these coins are called Indian Head Nickelsor Buffalo Nickels, but never "buffalo head" nickels....Please see the question "What is the value of a 1935 US nickel?" for more information$1.00 to $3.00 in average condition. The coin is not rare or scarce.
a 1929 Indian head nickel is not very rare so it isn't worth much. around 60 cents
Indian head pennies were no longer minted after 1909, so a 1922 Indian head penny would be quite rare.
1892 is not a rare or even scarce date for Indian Head cents, coins in average circulated condition are $1.00-$3.00
In 1970 buffalo nickels could still be often found in circulation. So other than rare dates and high grade uncirculated specimens, the rest had little or no added value. Also, they are normally called either "buffalo nickels" or "Indian head nickels". The image is of an entire buffalo, not just its head, LOL!

If you mean Indian Head cents? Some of the more desirable dates are: 1909-S, 1908-S, 1886, 1877, 1864, 1860 and 1859.
There are only a few truly rare dates. Among standard issues, 1877 and 1909-S are considered to be key dates. 1877 Indian cents retail for about $1000 in worn condition and go up to $150,000 in top condition. A 1909-S retails for $500 to a several thousand. There is also an 1888/1887 "overdate" resulting from re-use of an existing die. While this could technically be considered an error coin its value is anywhere from $2300 to $50,000
No it's not.
it was common then.
The two rarest Indian Head pennies are the 1877 and the 1909-S.
