re: 1913 Half Eagle coin -- per the "Official RED BOOK" of values by Whitman, non-mintmarked range from $295 (VF) up to $450 (ms60); "S" mint marked from $320 (vf) to $1600 (ms60). Mint mark is on the eagle side, left edge near the arrow-head it's standing on. Sorry, not a coin expert at all, and have been asking similar questions in the web without much success. "double eagle penny" is kind of an oxymoron. A double eagle coin has a face value of $20. However, a gold coin is probably worth considerably more than face value.
