August 24, 2009 The 1865 Seated Liberty dime was produced at 2 US Mint facilities; Philadelphia which is shown as 1865-P in this list and San Francisco which is shown as 1865-S in this list. To determine which coin you have it will be necessary to locate the mint mark. This mark is a small letter and it can be found on the reverse side of the coin just below the wreath. The letter "S" is for San Francisco. If there is no letter the coin was minted in Philadelphia. The circulated and uncirculated values for these coin are shown in the following list: Circulated Grades........1865-P......1865-S G4................................$330............$26 F12..............................$640.............$52 VF30............................$800.............$180 EF40............................$870.............$282 AU55............................$1060...........none Uncirculated GradesMS60............................$1200...........none MS62............................$1420..........none MS64............................$3310...........none MS65............................$4030...........none MS66............................$5340...........none MS67............................$9190.............none MS68............................$11,250..........none
