If you have a Confederate bill with that date it's a fantasy item made as a gimmick or joke, or a really bad counterfeit. Please check two books - a history of the Civil War and a dictionary#. The Civil War ended in 1865, so there could not be a Confederate* dollar** bill dated 1898. (*) rather than "confedarate" (**) as opposed to "dallar" (#) You might try switching to a browser such as Firefox that has a built-in spelling checker; it's made a big difference to me.
