John F. Kennedy's social plan was called the New Frontier. A wide range of programs such as, expanded unemployment benefits, a water pollution prevention program, continued construction of Eisenhower's national highway system, anti-poverty legislation, creation of the Arms Control and Disarmament.

Johnson felt that Kennedy was committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens and advocated for legislation that would improve education, healthcare, and the overall welfare of the American people.
LBJ had the Great Society program.
Medicare is the social program that president Truman proposed to America in 1949. This has since been changed a bit, but we have Medicare as a form of insurance for older people.
