Accounting is a mathematics degree not a science degree. you would have to go to college for at least an additional 2 years in order to have at least the associates degree.
They would simply have an AS in that major. No change to name.

I have not been made aware of an associates degree with that abbreviation. I would guess there is a possibility it would stand for associates in science, however that is an AS degree, not ASC. It really depends on the subject area of the associates degree and whether or not vacancies are available. In terms of educational qualification, an associates degree comes in between a GED and a bachelor's degree. Therefore, an associates degree holder would be picked before a GED only holder.
