There are several operation sniping and anti-material rifles which have been in service that have surpassed .50 BMG rifles in terms of power. They include the most powerful rifles to see active military service - the Croatian RT-20 and South African Denel NTW-20x110, which fire a 20x110mm cannon cartridge.
Other rifles surpassing the .50 BMG include:
. if you think Denel NTW 20x110 is most powerful sniper rifle so don't forget one thing, that's NTW fires an explosive round & it explodes when it strikes the armour. Hence the target may survive because nothing will damage him. The projectile will be destroyed while piercing the armour & these ammunition change their trajectory very easily. Where the 12.7x99 (50 Caliber) Armour Piercing NATO maintains its trajectory & after piercing the armour, it guarantees the destruction of target too. There is a mid explosive 50 Caliber bullet too known as Mark.211. Hence, firing an explosive ammunition on armour may destroy the armour but the target will easily survive. And in the battlefield, most powerful is that weapon which can completely destroy the target.
ALL sniper rifles are used for curtain targets..
Soft targets
hard targets
Macmillian tac 50 shooting a .50 bmg round
is used to shoot aircraft etc.
soft targets M200 cheytac intervention
is the most accurate sniper rifle in the world to this day.
but it acctually depends on the sniper and which gun hes is comfortable with
the record kill shot was i think 2475 yards and it was fired with the mac millian
the most accurate sniper rifle in the world is the m200
the most power full one deilvering the most energy i say the M107
A 50 caliber sniper rifle is one of the most powerful sniper rifles their is. Their isn't really one sniper rifle that is the most powerful.
The .50 caliber sniper rifles are far surpassed in power by several others. The Czechoslovakian Gepard G3 and South African Denel NTW both accept the Soviet 14.5x115mm cartridge, which produces almost twice as much energy as the 12.7x99 (.50 BMG). Even more powerful are the South African Denel NTW20x110 and Croatian RT-20, both of which are sniper rifles which utilise a 20x110mm cannon cartridge.
Honestly, you'll find the differences between them negligible at best. Battle rifles tended to use full power rifle cartridges in the 6.5 - 8mm range. Of what's in that spectrum, and what was available in battle rifles, your most powerful cartridges in that range (which were used as military cartridges in battle rifles) would be the US 7.62x63 (.30-06) and German 7.92x57 cartridges. The FN49 was manufactured in variants for both cartridges. However, early battle rifles could also be considered "lesser" rifles to their more modern counterparts in that they were limited to a non-detachable box magazine of limited capacity, whereas later designs tended to use 20 round detachable box magazines (although the Tokarev SVT38 and SVT40 used detachable box magazines well before other battle rifles did). Some Garand rifles were modified to accept detachable magazines (many of these were often rechambered for the 7.62x51 NATO cartridge, as well), as were some of the FN49 rifles, which gave them some parity with more modern designs.
There is no most powerful airsoft sniper rifle that you can just buy. But, Iv'e heard of guys tuning them over 800fps with custom parts. My most powerful is 600fps.
The RT-20 and Denel NTW 20x110 both utilise a 20x110mm cannon cartridge. They are the most powerful sniper rifles currently seeing military service, surpassing both the 14.5x115 sniper rifles, and especially surpassing the 12.7mm sniping rifles (such as the Barrett M82/M107, MacMillan Tac50, etc.).
plain and simple.yes. but not the most accurate.
the SNIPER rifle that does the most would have to be, from my knowledge, the Barret m82 (otherwise know to gamers as the 50 cal) but the most powerful rifle that is not sniper that borders on being artillary is the PtRs41. this has something of a kick and can take out anks, which is what it was desighned for. a scope can be mounted, and the barrel is rifled, and if it is used by a "sniper", than technically, it is a sniper rifle, but its portrayal on one video game is unrealistic, as attempting to shoulder fire this weapon, especially when walking, would rip off limbs. it is impossible to feel happy after shoulder firing a PtRs41 Actually, the 14.5x115 cartridge used by the PtRs41 is quite powerful - substantially more so than the 12.7x99 (.50 BMG) cartridge, sniper rifles have been manufactured which surpass it in power. The Croatian RT-20 and South African Denel NTW 20x110 both use a 20x110mm cannon cartridge.
You will have to define "sniper rifle". There is no meaning to that term, other than an accurate scope mounted rifle. That includes most hunting rifles.
Most guns come in black.
A sniper rifle is simply a rifle used by a military sniper. Just about every gun shop will carry hunting rifles. The type will vary depending on what you are hunting- squirrels, rabbit, deer, turkey, bear, elk or elephants. What you are calling a "sniper rifle" is simply a bolt action center fire rifle with a telescope.
All are equal in this regard.
50.Cal.
It is often accepted the Heckler and Koch PSG-1 is the most accurate sniper rifle in the world.
The most commonly used sniper rifle in the Marines is the M-40A3. It is a standard bolt action rifle with a Remington 700 action that fires the 7.62X51 NATO round.
The correct term is cartridge- which is the cartridge case, primer, powder, and bullet. A sniper rifle is simply an accurate, long range rifle that is used by a sniper. It may look exactly like my long range hunting rifle- since most military sniper rifles BEGAN as a civilian hunting weapon.
