George W. Bush has remained fairly private since retiring from office. He released his memoirs, Decision Points, on November 9, 2010. Following the 2010 Haiti earthquake Bush and Bill Clinton established the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund to raise contributions for relief and recovery efforts. He attended every home playoff game for the Texas Rangers 2010 season and threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington for Game 4 of the 2010 World Series on October 31, 2010. In February 2011, Bush was forced to cancel a speech in Geneva due to protest threats in response to his continued support of the water boarding practices under his presidency. Mr. Bush and his wife Barbara joined the Obamas in New York City to mark the tenth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. At the Ground Zero memorial, Bush read a letter that President Abraham Lincoln wrote to a widow who lost five sons during the Civil War. Mr. Bush has officially endorsed Mitt Romney's campaign for presidency, but was notably absent from the 2012 GOP Convention in Tampa. The former president is also active in the creation of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum which will serve "as a resource for the study of the life and career of George W. Bush, while also promoting a better understanding of the Presidency, American history, and important issues of public policy." Additionally Bush has be to Africa several times in the last year to bring attention to women's health, HIV/AIDS, and cancer issues.
After writing and promoting his memoirs, he is keeping a low profile, living on his estate in Texas with his wife.
