I assume you mean William Henry Harrison, the 9th President of the USA ...On 07nov1811, Harrison and an army of militia and regulars defeated a force of American Indians in battle near Lafayette, Indiana at what is known as the Battle of Tippecanoe.The name stuck with him, and he was known as 'Old Tippecanoe' for the rest of his life.
