Abraham Lincoln did many things such as stop slavery a little. He was honest and made the United States more honest as well. He had the U.S work hard on things and also, he gave people more rights then they had before. He did a lot for the U.S that was very important, and he did not deserve to die.
Abraham Lincoln (or Honest Abe) lead our country through the civil war keeping it together. The big thing that he did was end slavery. He was the one who created the Emancipation Proclamation, which is what led to the end of slavery. Lincoln supported the Homestead Act, which allowed poor people in the east take land in the west. He led as example and influences that many later presidents used. He signed the Morrill Act which was designed to aid in the establishment of agricultural and mechanical colleges in each state.
Abraham Lincoln did many great things he led the civil war and he passed the thirteenth amendment thus freeing slaves forever!
