George Washington was far more successful than the Illuminati, he and his colleagues effectively overthrew the rule of the British monarch.

Unfortunately, they were very unsuccessful in their endeavor because that monarch successfully destroyed the organization and imprisoned their leadership, effectively putting an end to the organization.
