George Wallace (born August 25, 1919 in Clio, Alabama; died September 13, 1998 in Montgomery, Alabama) succeeded Fob James as the forty-fifth Governor of Alabama, serving in his third spell as Governor between January 17, 1983 and January 19, 1987, including the whole of 1986.
