She was influential in many areas of American culture. She was one of America's most fashionable icons, using pillbox hats, sunglasses, A-Line Dresses, designer clothing and lively colors to feed photographers and a desire of many American women to dress like her. She was influential in her patronage for the arts, establishing several institutions in Washington that devote their energy to historical preservation and the performing arts. She was greatly admired for her courage in the wake of her husband President Kennedy's assassination, and her desire to protect his political legacy and his family from public scrutiny.

First of all when are you idiots going stop stop using the word "impact" when it does not mean the sama as "effect". The question for young people to ask properly is to ask, " How did Jacqueline Kenndy effect the American Presidency. The usage

of "impact" is used wrong in every day life even by the press.

He never deviated from the truth, unlike the leaders we have today. JFK, of course, was viewed as a "threat" to the "system" and subsequently had his accident on November 22nd. Kennedy symbolized hope in a time of civil unrest during the early Sixties. Whether you were black or white, he always fought for justice and equality. In addition to this, he also promised by the end of the decade that we would put a man on the moon. That happened later in 1969, nearly six years after JFK's death. He also supported programs that aimed to end poverty and racism. He was our only "true" leader. RIP JFK.

Her actual contributions were not great. She was an attractive first lady for three years. She was an interesting personality and people never got tired of reading about her. She married a Greek billionaire and so was in the jet set and international high society.
