You do not need anything, but if you travel to a different country you neeed a passport.
Edit:
You will need a mode of transportation like a car or motorcycle, and enough fuel to get you where you want to go. Alternatively, you will have to pay a transportation company like an airline, bus, or train company to take you from state to state.

It is also worth noting that the requirements you will have to meet in order to legally "enter" the United States, will also qualify you to travel within the United States.
.
If you are a legal or documented permanent resident of the United States or visitor to the United States, the following documents may be acceptable:
If you are not a US permanent resident or US Citizen, one or more of the following may be required.
Hope that helps.
Citizens generally require little or nothing to move to, travel throigh or visit other US States. Driving laws are uniform, but you are not a resident for voting purposes, or for election purposes simply because you are present. There are specific rules about residence that apply like out of State hunting and fishing licenses and University admission.
For air travel within the US, a ticket for travel is required. A government issued photo ID is generally thought to be required, but in fact having one merely makes travel a great deal easier. Although not required, it is expected and substantial delays and inconvenience may result while the identity of a traveler lacking a photo ID is confirmed. Children under the age of 18 also require a birth certificate or other proof of age if they are traveling alone.
You do not need any special documents to travel by train in Switzerland. You do need a ticket of course!

You need a valid passport only.
Usually, when you travel locally, you need your valid identification card. An example would be your drivers license. You might also need your passport if you travel by air.
Travelers do NOT need a passport to travel from Massachusetts to Florida or between any states in the US. However, if you are not a citizen of the US, you might want to carry your passport along with any other documents you have that allowed you to enter the US.
