By the time of WWI Prussia no longer existed as an independent nation. Prussia was one of the largest of the "Germanic States" which were unified into a single nation in the 1860s. Prussia was also the most warlike of the several hundred Germanic city-states of varying sizes.
But in some ways the Prussians were in fact very much involved in WWI. The German Kaiser, Wilhelm II, was of the Hohenzollern Dynasty. This was the ruling family of Prussia, which had become, with German unification, the ruling family of all Germany.
there were many countries that were involved in WW1, like: france, germany, russia, prussia, america, england etc.
East Prussia was part of the German state of Prussia during World War 2. It was actually part of Prussia from 1772 until 1829 and 1878 until 1945.
Well, Prussia's part during World War II was nothing... Russia played a huge role in WWII
Hitler wasnt in it
no it wasnt
no it wasnt
It may be possible that some junior member of the house of Hohenzollern fought in such a war, but no prince of Prussia who later became king of Prussia ever fought in a war with America. Only the emperor Wilhelm II was involved in a war against, among others, the US; but that was WW I and he was already king of Prussia and German emperor at the time.
there really wasnt trnch warfare in world war 2
Because of World War 2
In the year of 1871, the main war that Prussia was involved in was the Franco-Prussian War. This war, of course, was between the French and the Prussians, as the name states. The Prussians, and other regions of modern-day Germany that fought along side them, were victorious in the battle against the French. This war resulted in the formation of the country of Germany. So, Prussia defeated France in1871, but they were the last nation that Prussia would defeat as a country.
Prussia was the biggest of the German states from 1871-1934 (when the states were abolished by the Nazis).
