California is one of the largest population states in the United States. It provides 90% of the food products for the world and the United States. Many industries are located in California including the film and businesses like Google and Microsoft. The university system also provides research in medical areas and graduates people in many areas. Some of the major hospitals and medical research is in California. Along with these things there are cities like San Francisco, major National Parks, a wonderful coastline, beaches, places like Hearst Castle, and a variety of places for different types of sports. All of this makes California a trend setter and an important state. Not to mention the historical value of the state.
