On December 7th 1941, Honolulu was attacked by a fleet of Japanese airplanes. USS Arizona was sunk and nowadays its memorial is open to the public. America didn't want to be part of WW2 but, Japan attacked us and that made us a part of it. It's a very sad day here in Hawaii whenever that day comes around... :'(

The attack was aimed at the US Naval base on Oahu in order to disable America's warfleet. The Japanese, however, made an error in that most of the US's Pacific fleet was out on maneuvers.
