some people come to Ireland to find work, Ireland has a fairly good technology sector and various other opertunities are available to people that have high levels of education.

Many other people come to Ireland to see the country, as many Irish people emigrated for hundreds of years, their decendants are scatted all over the world so sometimes its nice to see where they came from.

People leave Ireland for many reasons. Many have left in search of a better life, when Ireland has had poor economic times and work is hard to get. Famously, people left during the famine of the 1840s. Under British rule, people left to get away from the problems in Ireland at the time or were even sent away as prisoners. People leave Ireland to study. People leave Ireland because they want to see the world and try different things and places.

They do so for the same reasons that people migrate all over the world, namely in search of a better lifestyle than where they come from. They would come looking for work or education and for the general Irish cultural and way of life. People would also want to retire in Ireland.

A common greeting in Ireland which means Ireland forever?

"Erin go bragh" is a slogan dating from the 1798 revolution, is often translated as "Ireland forever". The etymology of the word as it drifted throughout the Gaelic region gave rise to its use by the early Scots to both mean Ireland and "west" - as Ireland lies to the west of Scotland. It would not be generally used as a greeting between people in Ireland.
