When you use the term "black" what exactly do you mean? I can only assume you mean black as in; Africans, Caribbeans, Afro-Latinos
and African Americans. If you are referring to black because of the presence of melanin in their skin, then you can just as easily ask "why do Indians have straight hair if they are black?"
Australian Aborigines are the most genetically DISTANT humans from the "black" people in the aforementioned. They are a distinct race of their own. They migrated out of Africa first, before any other group (about 50,000 years ago) and developed their own features such as a high brow ridge and straight-wavy hair. The climate in Australia is different from that of Africa therefore they developed straight hair. A few people in southern India are from the same group of the out of Africa migration as the Australian Aborigines. Watch "Journey of Man a Genetic Odyssey" on YouTube
to better your understanding.

It is actually more common for people to have not straight or curly hair, but wavy hair. Like skin color, hair type is a trait that tends to "mix". If a person with white skin and a person with black skin have an offspring, they will have a light brown skinned offspring. If a person with curly hair mates with a straight haired person, there is a chance they will have wavy hair

Aborigines look like you and me when they are walking around town, then when it is time for a special celebration of some kind for the Aborigines, they get all painted up and in their special outfits for their corroborees. Most modern Aborigines do not participate in corroborees and ceremonial dances, as most do not live a traditional lifestyle. Modern Aborigines are characterised by their dark skin, eyes and hair, and a tendency to have a broader nose. However, as there are varying degrees of aboriginal descent, so these features can vary considerably.
A straightener
well some people, like me, are born with straight hair. other people have to straighten it.
