Austria and Prussia wanted France to restore Louis to the throne. The Declaration of Pillnitz was issued and the French Legislative Assembly responded by declaring war on them in 1792.
In the year 1792, while the revolution in France was going on, Austria and Prussia had signed a declaration promising not to harm France's king Louis XVI. However, the people of France, who were against Louis were hostile toward their old Austrian enemies. They also despised Austria's king, Leopold II, Mary-Antoinette's brother and Holy Roman Emperor. The National Assembly declared war on Leopold which could easily have been avoided, and Fredrich William II, king of Prussia declared war on France, to help their ally.
Austria and Prussia declared war on Denmark to regain the provinces of Schleswig and Holstein, which were ruled by the Danish crown but were predominantly German-speaking.

I believe...1 sec...let me look at my notes here...Well, what got them killed was that were on the brink of sending the country into bankruptsy (pardon my spelling!), and couldn't save the country from inflation, unemployment, poor harvests, food shortages, or the rising prices that were tormenting the entire country. But after Louis summoned the National Assembly, word leaked out that he had planned to bring in troops to arrest the assembly.
Prussia and Austria were two different rivals of the vast European Empire in eighteenth century. Prussia had invaded and defeated Austria after a 7 year long battle.
