But not all Iroquioan-speaking tribes were friendly towards each other and not all Algonquian-spaking tribes got along with each other - so it is completely wrong to believe that they formed two political groups. For example: the Iroquois league dominated other Iroquoian-speaking tribes such as the Huron, Petun and Erie; and the Algonquian-speaking Mohegans and Pequots were rivals and political enemies.
