The leader of Bulgaria during World War 1 was Tsar Ferdinand I. Formerly Bulgaria's prince regnant, he took the title of Tsar in 1908.
After the abdication of King Ferdinand, the leader became King Boris III., however the power was in the hands of A. Stamboliski (Agrarian union).
