Archeologists aren't exactly sure where to find the ark. A temple in Axum, Ethiopia is claimed to hold the ark but only a certain person is allowed into the place in that temple to see it. Besides Ethiopia, the ark is thought to possibly be in other places. There are theories that place the ark in Egypt, or Saudi Arabia, or India, or Mongolia. It depends on who you ask. The ancient texts don't clearly state what happened to it.
