The Franciscan Order. However, they are not monks, they are friars. Monks live in a monastery and work there, friars live in a convent or friary and work in the "real world."

Monks are self-sufficient, whereas friars live among other people and rely on donations. Friars are can also travel within a wide area, but monks stay in the same place.
Monks or Friars.
The Franciscan order was named after its founder, St. Francis of Assisi. However, they were not monks, they were friars. Monks live in monasteries while friars live in the world.
friars lived and worked in the community
Both monks and friars have been teachers throughout their history. The Benedictine monks were the first to establish regular schools in their monasteries, but, of course, they were founded six hundred years before Friars.
The is no such thing as a "Franciscan Order of monks." Monks are monks: Benedictines, Cisterisans, etc. Franciscans are friars, and they were founded by St. Francis of Assisi, who founded his Order in Assisi.
Monks and Friars live in a monastery. Nuns and cloistered women live in monasteries as well, not to be confused with convents.
Nuns and monks live and work in a monastery. Sisters and friars live in a convent and work outside the convent.
Friars are members of religious orders who live and work among the general public, focusing on teaching and serving others. Monks, on the other hand, live in secluded communities and dedicate themselves to a life of prayer, contemplation, and manual labor within their monastery. Essentially, friars are more active in engaging with the outside world, while monks lead a more contemplative and secluded lifestyle.
Friars and seminarians are not the same. Seminarians are studying to be priests. Friars are usually monks (a/k/a Christian brothers).
