Tender Vittles cat food was discontinued in the US in 2007. It was not replaced with anything but can still be purchased in Canada.
Mabe if you look at Amazon.com or search it on Google. I will try and find a web site for cat food or something like that.
As far as I know, Tender Vittles is no longer being made. My cat was addicted to it, too. From what I understand, the ingredient they used to keep the vittles tender (propylene glycol) that was found to be harmful to cats in the quantities it was being ingested, being that it was a daily food for a lot of cats. There were also concerns about the high amount of sugar and salt in the food.
"Tender Vittles is a brand of cat food manufactured by Nestlé under the Purina name. The cat food was previously made by Ralston Purina Company, which was purchased by Nestlé. It was one of the first to bridge the gap between wet, canned cat food, and dry, bagged cat food, being a bit moist and sealed in a vacuum pouch. [citation needed] As of March 2007, the Tender Vittles product line has been discontinued in the United States (it continues to be sold in Canada)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tender_Vittles

I have the same question. My cat is 21 and can eat mostly soft food; Tender Vittles, Happy Cat and all others like this are not on the supermarket shelves. I haven't found a substitute either. Actually, vittles is an alternate spelling of the world victuals. Although spelled differently, the pronunciation and meaning are identical. It simply means food or provisions. Here's vittles in a sentence: Because Ruby was about to embark on an all night adventure to prove Nick wrong, she knew she would need extra vittles to last until daybreak.
The term vittles/victuals mean food provisions/supplies.
