The massacre occured in Ekaterinbug- city of Catherine and NOT St.petersburg, but the phrase ( Saint Petersburg Massacre- sounds more dignified and there WERE political upheavals including blood-baths in the Czarist Capital city. The Romanovs were murdered, howver in Ekaterinburg.
