The Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland was organized in 1927. They joined with the Scout Association of Ireland to form the Federation of Irish Scouts Associations in 1965. The CBSI changed their name to Scouting Ireland (CSI) in 1997. In 2003, they merged with Scouting Ireland S.A.I. to become Scouting Ireland.
