November is the best month to view the mating rituals between the seabirds and penguins. Landings are still pristine because the bulk of the tourists haven't arrived yet and the winter pack ice is starting to melt and break up.

December and January are the warmest months and you have the added advantage of having about 20 hours of daylight which is great for sightseeing. This is peak tourist season and wildlife viewing is at its best with newly hatched penguin chicks in abundance.
