At first, the Natives weren't very happy about the colonists coming to their land. They wanted the colonists to leave. But, after John Smith becomes friends with the Natives, and Pocahontas ends up saving John Smith's life. Since they become friends they trade with each other and share the land. So their relationship was friendly!
