Assyrians are widely credited for being the cradle of civilization. They were the first people to develop tribes/cities/states/democracy,agriculture and in turn, law, medicine, astronomy, math, etc. They are the foundation for which our people today have built upon. Assyria as a whole nation was what is now modern-day Syria/Lebanon/Iraq/eastern Turkey/western Iran/Armenia. Assyrians are not only bilingual, but typically multi-lingual, since ancient times through present day: speaking their native Aramaic (Assyrian); Arabic (Lebanese/Syrian/Iraqi dialects); French; Armenian; Turkish; Farsi; and English.
