For the most part, the gold rush in Australia had very positive effects. In many ways, it helped Australia to "grow up" and become a recognised force in the world.
However, there were some negative effects for Australia, which included:
the soil starts to get bad
there where about 100,000 people at the gold rush. some took ships it was very dangerusonly 40% made it!!
When the gold rush was over some of the people went back to the country they came from and the remaining people spread out around Australia.
They just stayed the some. Just with less people in it
Many cultures came to Australia for the gold rush, but the majority of poeple on the goldfields were Australians themselves.Other groups that came included:ChineseNorth Americans (including Canadians)ItaliansGreeksNew ZealandersFrenchBritish
Some of them did. When the gold ran out, they opened businesses in the towns. Others took their gold back to China with them.
Yes and no. The goldeushes in Australia began in 1851 and continued right up until the 1930s, when the last gold rush occurred. During these decades, goldfields and new gold towns sprang up in dozens of locations around Australia, with some of them growing, and others being quickly depleted.
good: minority found gold. bad: majority died while trying to get there and some people just didn't find gold
Edward Hargraves Involvement in the Gold Rush era is he was a gold miner and that he helped with people to find gold. People say that he was the first to find gold in Australia But some say the he was just lucky with that government to have found gold and get rewarded for it.
No not really. Some went back, but other stayed here.
people desperatley wanted money, economy bad so it crazed many people to get their hands on the good stuff
Peter Lalor was a well know gold Miner/panner. Edward Hargraves was know to be the first gold found in Australia recorded he was know to have traveled to California to take part in the gold rush but he found nothing and he realised that some of the gold fields there looked like some places in Australia (maquarie valley) so he set off to find gold with the help of John Lister and James Tom and claimed the reward of $5000 but after James Tom protested he only claimed $2381.
