First of all, Cronus is not a god. He is a Titan.
Here is the story about how Cronus was defeated by his children.
Before the gods ruled in Greek mythology, there were titans, and the king of the titans was Cronus. One day he received a prophecy that one of his sons would be even more powerful than he was. So, when his wife Rhea gave birth, he ate the children one by one. However, when Rhea gave birth to her sixth and final child, which she named Zeus, she hid him and a nymph took care of him. When Cronus asked where the baby was, Rhea tricked him into eating a rock instead.
Many years later, when Zeus was older, he tricked his father into eating this vile of food (I think. I'm not so sure on the vile part but the other are really from Greek myths) and Cronus threw up the children which grew up in his stomach (because they were born immortal and therefore grew). Later, Zeus stole Cronus's scyth, slashed him into many tiny pieces and threw him into Tartarus (that's the worst part of the Underworld, an endless, dark abyss).
Zeus is a Greek god, son of Cronus.
he is a god. (notice i put he):) hope this helped
In Greek myth Demeter was born a goddess from Titan god parents Cronus and Rhea.
No god is named after it but they called it Cronus, Zeus's father.
Cronus was the god of the sea and Rhea was the goddess of the earth
The parents of Demeter were the Titan gods Rhea and Cronus. Cronus is the Titan god of time and ages, especially when these are regarded as destructive - such as when Cronus swallowed his children. Rhea is the goddess of mountain wilds and ease and "flow"; a goddess of female fertility, motherhood, and generation.

Hera was a daughter of Cronus and Rhea (titans) which makes her a goddess by default.
No. The only name coming close to 'Cornis" is Cronus, the son of the god Uranus.
Gaea, goddess of the earth, and Uranus, god of the heavens, were the parents of Cronus.
Hades was born of the Titan god Cronus and the Titan goddess Rhea, his grandmother is Gaea and his grandfather Ouranus.
