Israel has a great many variety of crops, so much so that it became a great place for testing new varieties of seed for seed companies.

We grow dates and citrus, avocados and hohova, flowers and dragon fruit, grapes apples and peaches, kiwis cherries and sabra, cotton potatoes and peppers, tomatoes watermelons and cucumbers and many more.

The citrus is mainly Oranges grown in the central area of the country. There not called Jaffa oranges for nothing.

Of course the biblical seven species of the Land of Israel are: Wheat, Barley, Grapes, Figs, Pomegranates, Olives and Dates

These are still grown today, however most of the grains are only for export.

Grapes / WineThere are numerous wineries in Israel from the small boutique wines to the larger companies. Some of the largest wineries are Golan and Carmel. Olive OilOlive Oil is also produced in Israel from Olives grown in the country. Olive trees are mostly found in the Judea area.
