The Mt. Blanc in the Alps (Mont Blanc, 4807 meters above sea level) was traditionally considered to be the highest point of the European continent/mainland.
However, most sources now agree that Mount Elbrus (5642 meters above sea level) in the Caucasus mountain range is the highest mountain in Europe. (There has also been some misunderstanding or discrepancy on how the Caucasus are distributed between Europe and Asia.)
In any case, the line between Europe and Asia is a cultural one and somewhat arbitrary. This is unlike the line between Asia and Africa, which is much more clearly defined. It connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Gulf of Suez on the Indian ocean.
