According to Hinduism Ultimate goal of life is Moksha (liberation). Moksha (liberation) can be achieved by meditation, yoga or praying God.
Liberation itself has two steps: first, liberation from all misery when we are alive, and second, liberation from rebirth and unification with the Divine. How does one get liberated? By going on a quest and overcoming ignorance. By realizing that we are not this body that dies, by realizing that we are not even the mind, by realizing who we are – the Divine Soul. This is the process of liberation, when we know that we are the Soul, when we attain our ultimate goal of liberation and unification with the Divine.
