What is the legal procedure of foreigners court marriage in Pakistan?

Subject to some special religious and legal formalities for the

Pakistani Muslims, Christians and other religion followers,

here are general criteria for court marriage with foreigners in Pakistan.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

•At least one of the parties should be Pakistani citizen.

(not barred even both the parties are foreigners)

•The bride must be 16 years of age; the bride groom must be 18 years of age,

•The parties should not be within the prohibited degrees relationship

•Each party involved should not have any other subsisting marriage.

(Pakistani Muslim male can get second marriage with the permission of his first wife)

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

•Documentary evidence verifying the name, parentage and age of the spouses.

•Copy of Passport of the foreigner with valid visa.

(not prohibited even no valid visa)

•Death certificate or divorces decree whichever is applicable, in case one of the parties had any marriages in the past.
