Its basically kaaba located in Makkah at that direction muslim worship..muslim worship in dirextion of kaaba not kaaba
Mecca (or Makkah) is the holiest Muslim city where there is the holiest Muslim building called Kaaba. The Kaaba is surrounded by the holiest worship building that is called Al-Masjid Al-Haram (or the Grand Mosque).

The Quba Mosque. It is located outside Medina, Saudi Arabia. Iis the first mosque ever built and the oldest mosque of Saudi Arabia. Its first stones were positioned by the prophet Muhammad on his emigration from the city of Mecca to Medina and the mosque was completed by his companions. Muhammad spent more than 20 nights in this mosque (after migrating) praying qasr (a short prayer) while waiting for Ali whose house was behind this mosque.
