It used to be boasted that Italy had both the highest and lowest elevations in Europe but this must be severely qualified. Mont Blanc, the mountain, is l5,700 feet in height but is only partly Italian. The French title shows it is considered to be Italian as rar as nationality goes. Okay l5 Grand plus is nearly 3 miles up. on the other side, there are deep caves in various parts of the country that go- well Way Down Loww! so it goes. And in a category by herself- a high point is the Rose of Fair Italy, Miss Gina Lollobrigida!
