Chances are this is going to be the same as it is in South Africa in the sense that you got to go to the FNB branch and open up a foreign currency account. This way you get charged for receiving foreign funds. :) Good Luck!

South African Banks do not participate in the IBAN system as this is for the European Union and a few bordering countries. South Africa uses the SWIFT/BIC + Branch Code + Account Number to make international Wire Transfers. This is the only way to transfer money.
If you search for wikipedia and IBAN you will also note that South Africa is NOT listed under the countries.

This would vary for each individual account. An iban number is attained when a client opens up a foreign currency account. For more information, please contact your nearest FNB branch.

Unfortunately there is no IBAN number of Bank ALfalah. i have called bank alfalah so many times but they are not even aware of IBAN number. they are very lazy to generate there IBAN number from State Bank Of Pakistan and satisfy there customers. But if you need IBAN number, create your account in UBL. they are providing IBAN number which is 026007906. i have already done this.
