qualification or 'test' for land or business ownership, citizenship, education,
health care, etc. Israeli police and/or military are assigned to protect, when
necessary, the free public observance of any religion, when its security may
be threatened by others.

In 1020 BC (which Jews refer to as 1020 BCE, since BC stands for "before Christ," and BCE stands for "before the common era") the nation of Israel was ruled by King Saul, the first of the Israelite kings. Its religion was that of the Israelites, which eventually developed, many years later, into Judaism. We do not know a lot about the Israelite religion of those days since they are from before the time of the Torah, which is the most central Jewish holy book.
