ANSWER 3
It's not THE only cool place in Japan. It's a place where people can dress up in whatever character and they have like a group of goth emo or punk or other stuff and you can take pics with them. I went like...2 days ago..I HUGGED A GUY WITH A SIGN THAT SAID FREE HUGS!!! And it's very expensive, like 3000 yen for a hoodie, 500 yen for crepes, 500 yen for like...a claires necklace, and 5000 yen for awesome shoes, and like 3000 yen for really cute backpacks! It's REALLY fun in Harajuku but just remember to bring LOTS of money there like...at least 20000 or more money to actually spend on good stuff!! I got this really cute rainbow hoodie and this relly nice necklace and EVERYONE loved my stuff!! so yeah!! Harajuku is better than I expected.
ANSWER 4
First of all, i agree that Harajuku is a very cool place to hang out, but just to clarify to the answer above me the styles that were called goth and emo and punk aren't actually those styles. The styles are actually called visual kei, oshare kei, decora kei, and gothic lolita, etc. Also i wouldn't call a Japanese person who lived in Japan those styles cuz 1. they may not have any idea what those styles are and 2. a lot of people on the internet have said how annoying it is that people call them those styles when they have major differences between them.....but yes it is very expensive in Harajuku however, i would suggest to be very polite when in Japan because they are very strict on behaviour, so don't make a big outburst if you find that a price is very expensive. also, they have a very large variety on clothing there so you could probably find almost everything you are looking for and they have really cool stuff. I would 100% support someone going there.
