In the Isle of Man Senior TT race, Norman Brown did indeed win his first appearance in it, but he also competed in the Junior TT race and Classic TT race in that year, which would have run before the Senior TT Race, which he came second and Did Not Finish in respectively. It was also his only win at the TT, but not his only win on the island.
