What type of biome do you live in ? Answer added to: Michigan has fresh water biomes, temperate forests, prarie, sand dunes and swamps are the major biomes found in Michigan. In general Michigan is classed as a whole as temperate forest (or what it would be if man hadn't changed the environs.)

Most of Michigan is in Climate Zone 5, with the lowest winter temperatures usually between -20 and -10 degrees Fahrenheit, except for the most northerly part of the Michigan Upper Peninsula which is in Climate Zone 4 (-30 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit).
