The best in any city will always be called Five Star Hotels, and Paris has many that can claim that title. Some are classics and are venerated by the rich and famous. A few are newer structures, built to emulate the pre WWII classics and most are operated by major names in the industry. This short list, presented without an attempt to rank them, should be considered for their names alone:

  • Hotel de Vendome.
  • Trianon Palace.
  • Hotel Ritz Paris.
  • Hotel Royal Monceau.
  • Four Seasons Geo V.
  • Prince De Galles.
  • Hotel Lutetin.
  • Hotel Raphael.
  • Hotel de Crillon.

Trip Advisor, Expedia and Bookings offer a good choice of hotels close to the Eiffel Tower. One can choose from the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel or Le Marquis Eiffel which are all priced from around £120 per night.
