Those can be programmed to operate certain garage door openers.
visit www.homelink.com for detailed instructions on how to program them. They are to open your garage or turn on other radio controlled remote devices.
Turn off engine. 1) erase the factory test codes by pressing the 2 outside buttons until the light begins to flash (about 20 sec.) 2) Choose one of the buttons to train. You can train up to 3 different devices. Place the handheld controller within 1 inch or the universal transmitter on visor and push the buttons of both transmitters. The red light on the visor will begin to flash slowly. 3) When the light starts flashing rapidly ( this may take as long as a minute). Release both buttons. It now should be trained.
1 is for programming the garage door opener function. Not sure about the other 2, but the Owners Manual will tell all about them.See "Related Questions" below for more
It's pretty easy. To help clarify I'm going to number the buttons 1, 2, and 3 where 1 is the button on the outside, close to the door, and 3 is the button on the inside.Setting a button:1.) Hold down the desired button and the LED will start to flash slowly (if it is solid this means that it has already been programmed and you must do a reset to program or select a different button).2.) Continue to hold the desired button and then hold the garage door opener close to the visor and hold down it's button. You know the visor is programmed when it changes from a slow flash to a fast one.3.) Release the buttons and test it out.Resetting the visor controlls:1.) Hold down buttons 1 and 3, for about 15 seconds, until the red LED starts to flash. Remember that this will reset all 3 buttons.Hope this helps.

There are more than one way to do it. 1. Using PBAP profle 2. SyncML 3. AT commands. But all of these are client initiated, that is it has to be initiated from your visor kit. Check your visor's manual or implementation.

if there are ten rows with three buttons each, then there are 30 buttons!

AnswerChrysler has a 800 number that you can call. They will walk you through it step buy step. It is good to be sitting in front of garage when you call. Dealership has the 800 number.I just programed my 97 cirrus visor and i used the following instructions from a dealer mechanic and it worked1. start car2. Hold the first and third button down until light starts blinking rapidly ( takes a little while- this clears out all the buttons from previous programming)3. Get your garage door opener remote and hold down the button that opens your garage door. Press and hold the first button on your visor until the light starts blinking rapidly. this will signal that it has been programmed. You must hold both buttons down until the light on your visor starts blinking rapidly. It worked for my car!!! good luck!
